Luthier visits: the art of guitar making
"A place with "duende"..."
"A work for ebanist, an art I understand much better now..."
"I could not resist it and I bring one of their guitars with me..."
Just a few months ago, Adam, one of the grandsons of the founder of this family owned business, found a half-made guitar made out from one of the best existing woods for guitar making. That treasure spent 3 generations hidden in the attic and it is now finally going to become one of the guitars made by this family. Guitars well-known and played by many of the most important Flamenco national and international artists like Amy Winehouse, Raimundo Amador or Farruquito.
Together, the Bros family and to the core of things, we have put together a number of visits to their working place to discover the art of this Luthier family that keeps on using traditional artisanal techniques to ensure the best acoustic for their clients.
The proces of guitar making starts by purchasing the wood and they travel personally to Valencia every 3 months to purchase the best quality wood. That same wood would be then dried, cut, polish and stick to produce each and every of the parts of the guitar. The final sound of the guitar will depend on the quality of the materials used and on the process followed for making it out. During this visit you will notice how the every member of the family pamper each and every phase of the process.
